CORON, PALAWAN
– is located on Busuanga Island, south west of Manila. It is halfway from both Manila and Puerto Princesa (the capital city of the province of Palawan). This town is the centre of trading for the entire Calamianes group of islands and has a fairly large market situated right on the sea front to make trading easily accessible for locals visiting by banka - a Filipino out-rigger boat. There is no beach in the town, if you like to spend some time on a beach, just hire local out-rigger style bankas can be chartered via this site or locally, upon arrival to take you to the destination of your choice. Coron is one of the famous tourist destinations for divers and non divers where you can go diving in one of famous WW-II wrecks and see the majestic limestone cliffs from town about 20 to 30 minutes boat ride to see those famous attractions.
